mad man

3 hours before my train goes, running round like a mad man, just looked at 5 day forecast for cornwall, heavy rain and heavy showers, not sure of the difference, both feel pretty wet to me. Any suggestions for why cycling in the rain is good for you gratefully appreciated...

My guess would be that it will mostly be nice and warm but every so often you will get wet to cool you off... Not steady rain... Not like elsewhere in the UK.

The Cornish have a special word for a common type of rain down here - mizzle - this is rain that has been ripped apart by the wind and is really fine and goes where the wind takes it. The air is just wet...

You're off ~ hooray! Reading this now, I guess you've found a comfortable place for the night.

Been meaning to ask you where you're planning to go, I mean, what's the general route? Or are you just going to meander and be spontaneous? Favourite counties to head for? Favourite landmarks and historical features? Avebury? or the Unknown?

Good luck.
