A journey across the length of Britain with on the road observations of this fascinating land we call home.Shaken and stirred with thoughts on how we can use the power of personal choice to make the world cleaner, greener and generally just a better place to live. Update:trip now completed, feel free to drop me a line though: willnewitt@hotmail.com

My guess would be that it will mostly be nice and warm but every so often you will get wet to cool you off... Not steady rain... Not like elsewhere in the UK.
The Cornish have a special word for a common type of rain down here - mizzle - this is rain that has been ripped apart by the wind and is really fine and goes where the wind takes it. The air is just wet...
You're off ~ hooray! Reading this now, I guess you've found a comfortable place for the night.
Been meaning to ask you where you're planning to go, I mean, what's the general route? Or are you just going to meander and be spontaneous? Favourite counties to head for? Favourite landmarks and historical features? Avebury? or the Unknown?
Good luck.
*laugh* I did actually turn up at Land's End at dawn but wherever you were wasn't where I was at.... Still I had a lovely morning! Hope you have too!
oh so sorry I missed you Rose,I really didn't expect any well wishers, had planned to sleep under the sign to get the dawn start but the rain changed my game plan and stayed in P'zance. Thanks v much for the thought.Hi Sam, approx route is along the south coast to Plymouth, up and over dartmoor, through mid devon and Somerset to Bristol, make it up from there!
